Day Trading E-mini Futures

One of our goals is to remove confusion from your trading. With our FAQ section, we’ve provided more detail to answer some common questions. If you still have questions after reviewing this section please send us an email.

How much does a membership cost?

Membership prices vary based on length and type starting at $100. Discounts are available. Visit our Subscribe Page for more pricing information.

How often will I receive an OEX alert?
There is an average of three (3) OEX option trades per week.. As volatility increases the number of trades increases. In other words, if the market is range bound, risk levels are evaluated and trades are minimized to reduce risk.

Can I ask questions about my option position?
Absolutely! Please do ask questions, that’s why we are here and use Yahoo! Instant Messenger…immediate access!

*Note: OEX Street does not provide advice and/or recommendations in trading. Please consult your financial advisor for monetary allocation.

How much time is required to trade your system?
Primarily trades occur between 9:30am and 11:30am ET and 1pm and 3pm ET, the hours following open and prior to close; that creates “free time” for users through lunch hours. OEX traders start their day at 10am ET. Trades are not random; Futures traders receive the full day of trading in a graphical outline before the market opens, and can therefore manage their day based on those moves..

How much do I need to trade your system?

We trade options ranging from $4 to $12 and the option paid price is dependent on the expiration date. In order to take advantage of our system at its best, we suggest trading a minimum of five (5) contract which requires an minimum account size of $4000. Spread sizes have dropped, as have Option prices, since the OEX Options boom experienced between 1999 and 2002, ultimately helping with entry/exit prices.
If you’re trading eMini Futures, our research shows an average of $4000 to $6000 per contract achieves marked growth and results.

What do you recommend I use for margin when trading eMinis?

Margins are subjective and therefore, based on your comfort level. As a rule of thumb, trade what you’re willing to lose, nothing more.

Principals within OEX Street use 0.4 contracts per $1000.
